Your Key Responsibilities
Lead and mentor a talented group of engineers, promoting professional growth, teamwork, and technical excellence.
Collaborate closely with product and design teams to clarify requirements, prioritize tasks, and convert business needs into scalable technical solutions.
Supervise development efforts across both frontend and backend, ensuring code is well-tested, secure, and performs optimally.
Establish and uphold engineering best practices, including CI/CD, test automation, and code reviews.
Provide a long-term technical vision for the advancement of Glide’s platform and infrastructure.
Assist in recruiting and building a diverse, world-class engineering team.
Essential Qualifications
Demonstrated experience in leading software engineering teams, including mentoring and managing performance.
Robust technical foundation in fullstack development (JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Node.js, Next.js).
Experience in designing and maintaining scalable, secure architectures.
In-depth knowledge of modern frontend technologies (responsive HTML/CSS, state/data fetching libraries like React Query/TanStack or tRPC).
Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and DevOps practices (AWS, Docker, Git, CI/CD).
Strong grasp of software engineering best practices: architecture, testing, and security.
Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the capability to work effectively across various functions.
Preferred Qualifications
7+ years of professional software engineering experience, with 2+ years in a managerial role.
