About the job
About Us
At Hayden AI, we are dedicated to leveraging the capabilities of computer vision to revolutionize how transit systems and government agencies tackle real-world challenges.
Our innovative mobile perception system enhances transit operations, improves street safety, and contributes to a sustainable future through advanced technologies for bus lane enforcement and transportation optimization.
About the Platform Team
The Platform team forms the backbone of Hayden's operations, ensuring reliability and scalability. This team is tasked with the seamless execution of perception algorithms across dedicated edge hardware and public cloud infrastructures. They manage event processing from device capture to partner delivery, while overseeing fleet health, security, compliance, data governance, and privacy.
About the Role
As a Software Engineering Intern on the Platform Team at Hayden AI, you'll play a crucial role in developing the systems that underlie our products. This is a hands-on position where you will directly contribute to the infrastructure, services, and data pipelines that ensure the reliable operation of our perception algorithms across both edge devices and cloud environments.
You will work closely with senior engineers to enhance the systems that manage data flow from field devices through to event processing and delivery to our partners. Your responsibilities may include cloud services, backend systems, fleet health monitoring, data tooling, and platforms that bolster security, compliance, and governance.
This opportunity is perfect for individuals eager to learn about the functioning of large-scale AI systems in production, from edge hardware to cloud infrastructure, and who are passionate about tackling reliability, performance, and scalability challenges.
You will acquire hands-on experience in designing, building, testing, and deploying production-ready systems while gaining insights into the operations of high-performing infrastructure teams.
This internship is based in San Francisco and operates on a hybrid schedule, requiring at least three days in the office each week.
