Required Skills & Experience:High School diploma or Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 1-3 years of experience for junior-level candidates; Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience for mid/senior-level candidates. Proficient in various cloud environments, particularly AWS; familiarity with Azure, Google Cloud, and Oracle is highly beneficial. Strong understanding of software engineering principles and practices. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team. Experience with DevOps methodologies and automation tools.

Join SMX as a Software Engineer and play a pivotal role in designing and implementing secure, scalable multi-cloud infrastructures, applications, and services that support the United States Air Force's enterprise cloud migration and mission-critical systems. You will be responsible for software design, development, engineering, integration, and architecture. This role involves supporting the onboarding of new cloud-enabled applications and deployment activities, primarily within AWS, while also requiring familiarity with multi-cloud solutions such as Azure, Google, and Oracle. You will contribute to the strategic vision and integrate a wide range of engineering solutions to meet client requirements for Air Force cloud projects, applying advanced engineering methods and research techniques to address complex cloud requirements.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Design, architect, and optimize secure software solutions across AWS, Azure, Google, and/or Oracle cloud environments.
  • Engage with clients and collaborate effectively with other vendors.
  • Participate in technical discussions with both internal teams and client/vendor representatives.
  • Define and engineer solution capabilities that align with customer business objectives.
  • Implement automation for provisioning, configuration, security, and monitoring utilizing DevOps best practices.
  • Develop and apply engineering methods and solutions tailored for cloud environments.
