JOIN OUR TEAM
We are seeking a skilled and experienced engineer to develop and maintain the critical reference data systems that support a variety of platforms within Virtu, including trading systems, quantitative research systems, and back-office operations.

YOUR ROLE
- Aggregate, validate, enhance, and distribute extensive datasets from major data vendors such as Bloomberg and LSEG.
- Design, test, implement, and maintain various databases and APIs.
- Architect tailored software solutions for business stakeholders to optimize daily data management and evaluation across the organization.
- Facilitate large-scale migrations for global, multi-asset data.
- Oversee the daily operation of our production systems.
- Conduct both proactive and reactive system maintenance as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience with enterprise-level distributed systems, particularly in Java.
- Solid understanding of relational databases (SQL, Oracle RDBMS).
- A keen interest in trading and financial markets.
PREFERRED BUT NOT REQUIRED:
- Prior experience in the financial services sector, particularly with trading systems.
- Proficiency in managing large datasets using Python.
- Familiarity with HBase, Hadoop, or equivalent cloud storage solutions.
- Understanding of the Linux environment.
- Experience using version control systems such as SVN or Git.
Salary Range: $175,000 - $200,000 (excludes bonuses, benefits, etc.)
