The Planner/Perception Reliability team is dedicated to developing architectures, tools, and workflows that proactively address reliability challenges. Our focus is on ensuring the health of onboard software while maintaining high velocity in development.
In this hybrid role, you will report to a Staff Software Engineer/Tech Lead Manager.
Your Responsibilities Include:
- Designing the foundational architecture for onboard reliability, creating essential infrastructure and tools that enhance the robustness and reliability of onboard software.
- Gaining a comprehensive understanding of system behavior, implementing concise, low-noise metrics that provide immediate insights into vehicle and overall fleet performance.
- Collaborating across teams at Waymo to streamline reliability workflows, ensuring our business-critical operations run smoothly and safely at scale.
- Developing systems for proactive anomaly detection and automation of clustering, significantly easing the management of reliability and enabling early issue detection.
