This role merges the technical authority of a Principal Engineer with the leadership of an Engineering Manager, addressing critical safety challenges.You will establish the 3-5 year technical strategy and architectural framework guiding how Roblox employs machine learning—from rapid text filtering to utilizing multimodal Generative AI—to address the most complex safety issues on the platform. Your leadership will shape the execution roadmap and technical planning, overseeing the launch of high-priority machine learning initiatives. You will set the standards for innovation in data quality, model robustness, and ethical deployment across the entire Content & Communication Safety ML division.Lead and expand a high-performing team of contributors, offering both strategic direction and hands-on mentorship to those responsible for the architectural evolution of our safety systems.
