Become a vital member of the MongoDB Networking & Observability team, where you'll contribute to the foundation of a cutting-edge distributed database! Our team is dedicated to developing and refining components that enable seamless communication between distributed processes, ensuring that both these processes and their interactions are easily observable. Our responsibilities encompass enhancing MongoDB's networking capabilities, optimizing resource utilization, and creating low-overhead observability features.
With team members based in New York City and working remotely across North America, we operate at a low level within the stack, significantly impacting the availability, performance, and resilience of our open-source database, as well as the overall productivity of our engineering team. Recently, we have engaged in proof-of-concept projects and performance evaluations for novel architectural strategies within our networking stack, and we are integrating OpenTelemetry to facilitate issue investigation and connect with a broader observability tooling ecosystem.
