Position Overview
The Inventory team is dedicated to assisting sellers in efficiently managing their merchandise on Whatnot, ensuring accurate representation to reach a wider audience. Our aim is to streamline this process, allowing sellers to focus on what they excel at: engaging with their community and selling. The Merchant Tooling subteam specifically caters to the needs of our largest and most complex sellers. Whatnot is committed to supporting sellers as they evolve their businesses with us, building systems that facilitate both external and internal tooling for scalable needs, including integrations with other e-commerce platforms, WMS, ERPs, and accounting software.
As a member of the Merchant Tooling team, you will be responsible for designing and constructing large-scale, highly reliable systems tailored to support our most intricate customers. Your primary focus will include:
Implementing seamless, bi-directional data synchronization across marketplace, e-commerce, ERP, and other enterprise systems, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and low-latency data flow.
Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams—including Product, Inventory, Operations, and external partners—to comprehend business needs and translate them into effective technical solutions.
