Role Overview: Software Engineer II, Front End

Location: Waterloo, ON, Canada (Hybrid)

This front end engineering role focuses on building the next generation of PlayStation technologies and applications. The team uses web technologies such as React and React Native to deliver seamless user experiences for millions of users worldwide. The position is based in Waterloo with a hybrid work model: work from home is supported, and in-person attendance is flexible. Occasional on-site meetings and team-building events take place at the Waterloo campus.

About the Team

The team develops client experiences for PlayStation's payment systems across consoles, websites, and mobile apps. Their work directly shapes how users interact with PlayStation’s services, combining gaming and technology to deliver fast, reliable, and enjoyable experiences.

What You Will Do

  • Design, test, and document core features and applications
  • Work closely with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to deliver strong software solutions
  • Help improve development processes and tools on an ongoing basis
