About the Cloud Automation Team

The Cloud Automation team, within the Build & Tools group, builds and maintains the core cloud infrastructure, security systems, and developer tools used by all engineering teams at Torc. Responsibilities include managing a multi-account AWS Organization, shared networking, identity and access management, hosted application platforms, CI/CD infrastructure, and cost optimization for long-term sustainability.

This distributed, remote-friendly team connects daily through standups, planning meetings, and quick problem-solving over Slack and Zoom. The group values sustainable work, shared ownership, and a focus on supporting developers across Torc.

What You Will Do

  • Work with teams across Torc to design and implement reliable cloud solutions.
  • Improve and maintain existing cloud infrastructure, focusing on operational efficiency.
  • Take part in on-call rotations to support and maintain cloud services.
  • Promote best practices for cloud security and automation.
