Key Responsibilities· Collaborate with your team’s technical lead and manager to decompose larger projects into manageable tasks, delivering results in phases while ensuring timely completion.· Support product development by working closely with product management, design, and analytics, participating in ideation sessions, clarifying technical constraints, and making informed decisions that balance risks and trade-offs.· Maintain the operation and availability of your team’s artifacts by tracking metrics, addressing issues proactively, and participating in on-call support as necessary.· Foster a sense of community within your team by engaging in professional development activities, including involvement in the interview process. Qualifications We Seek· A minimum of 1.5 years of experience as a software engineer.· Proficiency in designing, developing, and deploying backend systems, particularly in Python or Kotlin.· Familiarity with the fundamentals of distributed systems and technologies like AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes.· Experience in creating and launching APIs at scale using Python or Kotlin.· Ability to translate simple problems or business scenarios into effective solutions that involve multiple software components, executing with clear, maintainable, well-tested, and extensible code.· Competence in navigating large codebases, debugging, and providing constructive feedback through code reviews.· Demonstrated ownership of personal and professional growth by actively seeking feedback from peers, managers, and stakeholders.· Strong verbal and written communication skills that enable effective collaboration within our global engineering team.· A Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience is required.
