If you're passionate about making a difference, read on to discover how we can work together to create something exceptional.The Director of Collections Strategies will report to the Chief Product Officer.In this role, you will:Develop and lead a comprehensive collections strategy focused on personal loans and student loan refinancing, initially emphasizing the personal loan program.Create customer-centric recovery strategies that enhance performance throughout the entire delinquency lifecycle, including pre-default stages.Select and oversee third-party vendors, ensuring clear performance expectations and accountability.Utilize data analytics, testing, and cross-departmental collaboration to establish a compliant and scalable collections operation.Define the long-term collections model, determining when to leverage external vendors versus building internal capabilities.About You:10+ years of experience in consumer lending collections, servicing, or recoveries with a focus on strategy and execution.Extensive knowledge of collections operations, compliance, and vendor management.Proven track record of enhancing recovery outcomes while ensuring an excellent customer experience.Highly analytical, comfortable leveraging data to inform decision-making and optimize performance.Strong communicator able to collaborate effectively across Risk, Product, Operations, Legal, Compliance, and Data departments.Preferred Qualifications:Experience in fintech, digital lending, or customer-focused banking.Familiarity with personal loans, student loans, or unsecured installment lending.Experience in establishing or modernizing a collections function from the ground up.Work Location:This position is fully remote, based in the United States.At Earnest, we believe in empowering our employees to lead fulfilling lives.
