Join our dynamic Software Configuration Management (SWCM) team, where we uphold the core principles of Configuration Management to ensure the integrity of our computing products throughout their entire life cycle. The EPSD SW Configuration Management Department is dedicated to delivering innovative solutions through automation and continuous improvement, backed by a highly skilled workforce. We support a wide range of computing products, including embedded software, configurable logic, test equipment, simulations, COTS, and various tools.
As a Software Configuration Management Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in planning, coordinating, and executing Configuration Management (CM) activities, which include:
- Managing the change request process for software work products (CRs, CNs).
- Preparing for and supporting Software Configuration Control Boards (SCCBs) and Product Change Boards (PCBs).
- Controlling, maintaining, and securely storing software work products, including COTS.
- Building, baselining, and releasing software using established SWCM procedures.
- Identifying and adhering to configuration standards to maintain product and artifact integrity.
- Creating, distributing, maintaining, safeguarding, and destroying media (both classified and unclassified).
- Administering, customizing, and maintaining configuration management tools (Synergy and RTC).
- Generating and reporting metrics.
- Acting as the primary technical contact and engaging with senior engineers.
- Successfully completing special projects through personal initiative or collaboration with team members.
The ideal candidate will be a proactive self-starter, proficient in both written and verbal communication, with a solid understanding of the software development lifecycle and SEI CMMI standards.
