About the Role: At agencywithin, we are at the forefront of digital creativity. We are seeking a talented Social Editor to enhance our creative team, with a primary focus on crafting captivating short-form content for platforms such as TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and other emerging social media channels. This position is ideal for a proactive editor who thrives in fast-paced social environments and has a flair for storytelling. You will work closely with designers, strategists, and producers to develop culturally relevant, eye-catching content that delivers exceptional results for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Edit and produce engaging short-form videos tailored for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and other social media platforms.
- Develop dynamic motion graphics, typography animations, and visual effects to elevate social content and increase audience engagement.
- Transform existing footage into platform-specific edits that align with current trends, reflect client messaging, and meet campaign objectives.
- Stay informed about cultural and platform trends, incorporating music, memes, and innovative editing techniques that resonate with viewers.
- Create multiple versions and aspect ratios (9:16, 1:1, 16:9) to comply with platform specifications and campaign requirements.
- Collaborate with Creative Leads and Account Managers to ensure all deliverables meet both creative and client expectations.
- Maintain precision in timing, captions, graphics, and sound across all final video assets.
Qualifications:
- 1–2 years of professional editing experience, preferably in a digital marketing, social media, or agency setting (internship experience is also considered).
- Strong expertise in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects for motion graphics, typography animation, and visual effects.
- Familiarity with social platforms and their native editing tools (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts, Capcut).
- In-depth understanding of short-form content trends, pacing, and effective storytelling techniques.
- Ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously, balancing speed with high quality.
- Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills.
- A collaborative spirit and eagerness to learn from more experienced team members.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Experience with generative AI tools for editing, captioning, or effects.
- Hands-on experience in shooting social-first content (using a phone or DSLR).
- A passion for pop culture, internet trends, and social storytelling.
