Must reside within a 30-mile radius of the property. Reliable transportation is essential, along with the ability to fulfill a rotating on-call schedule. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as necessary. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Join our team as a Maintenance Technician, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the upkeep and value enhancement of our vibrant apartment community in Syracuse, New York. We seek a dedicated individual who is both resident-focused and a team player, possessing a solid technical skill set and pride in their craftsmanship.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promptly and thoroughly address all service requests and repairs.
  • Collaborate with the Maintenance Supervisor to manage inventory levels of necessary tools and supplies.
  • Uphold exceptional customer service standards, ensuring resident satisfaction.
  • Adhere to company policies for personnel management, maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
  • Implement a preventive maintenance schedule to keep community amenities in top condition.
  • Foster effective communication with residents, team members, vendors, and supervisors.
  • Work closely with the Maintenance Supervisor to maintain budget compliance and a robust preventive maintenance program.
  • Assist in maintaining a hazard communications program and conduct regular inspections of community facilities to mitigate liability risks.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Enhance community curb appeal through diligent teamwork.
  • Support residents during the move-in and move-out processes.
  • Coordinate and execute maintenance-related turn events efficiently.
  • Perform scheduled equipment maintenance in accordance with manufacturer guidelines.
  • Address resident complaints and resolve issues professionally and promptly.
  • Keep detailed records and assist in maintaining cleanliness of office and common areas.
  • Participate in exterior property upkeep, ensuring all common areas are tidy.
  • Manage swimming pool maintenance, including chemical log accuracy.
  • Be part of the on-call rotation for emergency services as required.
  • Take on additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned.
