Role Overview

We are looking for an accomplished Site Selection Manager to spearhead our procurement strategy for our US data center portfolio. This pivotal role involves identifying and assessing powered land opportunities ideal for large-scale data center development while negotiating lease agreements with Data Center Operators.

With a current US portfolio exceeding 600MW in data center assets, we aim to scale this to multi-GW capacity within the next year. Your expertise will be instrumental in driving this expansion and ensuring our sites meet the scale and design requirements of our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive site due diligence to assess powered land and development sites, including:

    • Evaluating the stability of utility and behind-the-meter power solutions at scales exceeding 200MW.

    • Assessing land parcel buildability through thorough reviews of title documents, land surveys, geotechnical reports, and environmental studies.

    • Understanding permitting requirements and their impact on our construction timelines.

  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with brokers, landowners, and developers to ensure we capitalize on every viable site opportunity.

  • Conduct vendor due diligence, including on-site audits with specialized engineers.

  • Collaborate closely with our Data Center Design team to ensure sites align with our latest technical specifications.

  • Manage capacity planning and forecasting across all clients and regions to guarantee availability for current and upcoming projects.

  • Work alongside our Finance team to assess multi-year infrastructure investments and related cost structures.

  • Lead commercial negotiations to secure favorable lease agreements.
