Requirements:Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field. A minimum of 3 years of industry experience in developing and implementing machine learning and computer vision algorithms. Proficient programming skills in C/C++ and Python are essential; experience in embedded software development is a plus. Strong understanding of AI/ML techniques, deep learning frameworks, and computer vision principles. Experience in hardware-software integration and optimization for embedded systems, including GPU acceleration and FPGA implementation. Familiarity with video processing pipelines and workflows is advantageous. Proficiency in working with popular embedded platforms such as ARM-based SoCs and microcontrollers. Familiarity with image processing techniques, camera systems, and sensor integration. Knowledge of real-time operating systems (RTOS) and software development methodologies.

Located in Irvine, CA, we are on the lookout for enthusiastic and highly skilled Senior Algorithms/Video Engineers who are passionate about pioneering video processing technologies. In this role, you will design, develop, and implement cutting-edge computer vision and video processing pipelines to enhance our patent-pending Space Aware Video Software Suite. Join us in a pivotal role that contributes to the future of human space exploration and bolsters US national security.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement sophisticated computer vision algorithms on embedded systems to detect, track, and classify anomalies, trends, and the intent of airborne and ground-based objects using high-speed cameras.
  2. Design and optimize AI/ML models for deployment on resource-constrained embedded platforms, focusing on memory, processing power, and energy efficiency.
  3. Engage in the entire software development lifecycle, encompassing requirements gathering, system design, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
  4. Conduct algorithm evaluation and optimization to ensure efficient and accurate real-time performance of high-frame-rate machine vision systems.
  5. Stay informed about the latest advancements in AI, machine learning, and computer vision, and propose innovative solutions to enhance our product offerings.
  6. Effectively document and communicate technical concepts, algorithms, and implementation details to team members and stakeholders.
  7. Provide mentorship to junior team members, offering guidance and technical expertise to support their professional growth.
