Key Responsibilities:Lead the strategy for Verification and Validation (V&V) of Vehicle Systems across autonomous platforms, covering areas such as Power Systems, Thermal Management, Infotainment, Networks, Body Controls, and Cybersecurity. Plan and organize V&V campaigns according to Requirements. Oversee verification activities by reviewing Requirements, designing Tests, and ensuring execution. Facilitate alignment and test planning with both internal teams and external OEM partners to promote efficient collaboration across Waymo. Offer technical support to Test Engineers and Test Conductors during verification activities. Act as the primary contact for test requests from Systems Engineers or Developers to evaluate new features or identify regressions. Formulate and implement a test automation strategy that leverages Waymo’s extensive suite of test environments, from software-in-loop simulations to component Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) and full vehicle HIL. Provide technical training to Test Engineers to enhance team skills, including the use of testing equipment, analysis tools, methodologies, or scripting languages. Lead the qualification of new Waymo driver software releases for the Vehicle Test Engineering team.
