You will:Utilize C++ and multi-domain modeling tools to create models of chassis dynamics, actuator dynamics, and safety systems for Waymo platforms. Integrate vehicle dynamics models into the Waymo Simulator and simulation workflows. Define and lead the execution of test campaigns to characterize the vehicle dynamics of Waymo platforms and validate vehicle dynamics models. Develop and perform simulation-based analyses to support all stages of the Waymo Driver’s development from requirements definition through verification and validation. Assist partner teams across Waymo in leveraging vehicle dynamics simulation capabilities for their applications. You have:A Master’s degree in Engineering or a related field (such as Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics, Controls, Aerospace, etc.) or equivalent practical experience. A minimum of 5 years of experience in modeling and simulating vehicle dynamics. A solid understanding of tire modeling techniques, including analytical and semi-empirical (Magic Formula) models. Expertise in chassis dynamics modeling techniques, encompassing both low- and high-fidelity (multibody) models.
