About You:Minimum of 4 years of experience in international indirect taxes, with a strong emphasis on EMEA VAT. In-depth understanding of VAT compliance, audit processes, and regulatory requirements across multiple EMEA jurisdictions. Proven track record of conducting tax research independently with minimal supervision. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of translating complex VAT concepts for a diverse audience. A proactive mindset with a strong sense of ownership and curiosity. Able to thrive in a rapidly changing e-commerce environment.

The Tax Team plays a pivotal role in collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders to maintain the financial integrity of StockX. We are responsible for accurate and timely tax filings, providing strategic business insights, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and international laws. As a Senior VAT Tax Analyst, you will be part of a dynamic team of analytical thinkers who excel in StockX's fast-paced, high-growth environment, working collaboratively across various departments including accounting, finance, legal, operations, marketing, and product engineering.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing VAT compliance for the EMEA region, ensuring audit readiness through registrations, filings, payments, and indirect tax account reconciliations.
  • Supporting VAT audits in EMEA by performing data analysis, maintaining documentation, and liaising with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborating with Tax Technology and Engineering teams to identify gaps and implement solutions, enhancing data accuracy and process efficiency.
  • Conducting independent VAT and indirect tax research, articulating findings and recommendations effectively.
  • Assisting in the audit of financial statements.
  • Developing and refining VAT-related documentation to align with the company's high standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Identifying and evaluating opportunities to leverage AI and emerging technologies to enhance VAT compliance processes, including automation of data analysis and audit support.
