Required Skills and Experience:A minimum of 5-8 years of professional experience in engineering governance, software architecture, or technology risk management roles. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Proficiency in software engineering lifecycles, DevOps methodologies, and cloud-native architectures. Demonstrated experience in defining and implementing governance frameworks within global technology organizations. Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with a structured approach. Strong communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at both executive and engineering team levels. A proven ability to balance governance rigor with developer productivity and agility. Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as ISO27001, SOC2, and GDPR, along with knowledge of operationalizing controls within an engineering context. Experience with Agile Development methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).

In this pivotal role, reporting to the Senior Manager of Engineering Operations, you will be instrumental in shaping the foundational culture, practices, and technical direction of our team. With a hybrid work model allowing for two days on-site, you will have the flexibility to drive innovation and significantly influence the future of one of the globe's premier commercial real estate firms.

The Senior Technology Governance Leader will establish, implement, and uphold governance frameworks, standards, and policies to guide our global engineering practices. This role is essential in ensuring that our engineering teams across various regions develop and deliver software that meets organizational goals, adheres to regulatory standards, and aligns with industry best practices. Acting as a liaison between engineering, information security, and enterprise architecture, you will facilitate innovation while mitigating risks, ensuring operational discipline, and achieving technical excellence.

Your contributions will extend to global products and platforms serving both internal and external clients across multiple regions in Commercial Real Estate. You will be responsible for ensuring excellence in delivery, engineering quality, and an outstanding developer experience. As a hands-on problem solver with strong design principles, you will thrive in a collaborative and agile setting, driving best practices and mentoring engineers to cultivate an environment where our engineering team can deliver impactful, secure, and scalable solutions for our global business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and maintain technical governance frameworks spanning software development, DevOps, CI/CD, cloud, and quality assurance practices.
  • Establish and document global engineering standards for coding, architecture, testing, documentation, and release processes.
  • Collaborate with enterprise architecture and security teams to ensure alignment with corporate policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Continuously review and update standards to reflect the evolving technological landscape and business needs.
