About the Voice Team
The Roku Voice Team is dedicated to developing the premier voice recognition system for television. We enable users to navigate hands-free, facilitating tasks like movie searches and content launches. Our tech also allows voice control for Roku's IoT devices, supporting multiple languages.
Role Overview
The Senior Technical Program Manager (TPM) for Roku Voice will be responsible for planning and executing intricate, cross-functional programs that deliver high-quality voice features and infrastructure at scale. As the key liaison across Voice Engineering, UX, PM, Analytics, QA, and external partners, you will ensure clarity in priorities, realism in roadmaps, and seamless launches.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead comprehensive planning and execution of significant Roku Voice programs (e.g., new voice functionalities, regional launches, infrastructure enhancements), overseeing the entire process from conception to post-launch refinement.
- Manage program structure: defining requirements, milestones, dependencies, risk assessments, communication strategies, and status reports across engineering, analytics, QA, and partner teams.
- Foster alignment on priorities and project scopes among teams, ensuring an understanding of both upstream and downstream dependencies.
- Collaborate with external voice technology partners and internal platform teams to ensure effective integration plans, service level agreements (SLAs), and release timelines.
