QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, or a related technical field.5+ years of experience in technical program management roles within the automotive embedded systems or diagnostics domains. Demonstrated success in delivering diagnostic feature sets in firmware for distributed automotive systems (e.g., AUTOSAR, low-level firmware stacks, gateway controllers). Familiarity with diagnostic standards and protocols: UDS (ISO 14229), CAN/CAN-FD, OBD-II (SAE J1979). Strong understanding of software/firmware development workflows, release management, and gate approval processes. Analytical skills in extracting actionable insights from firmware data.

Vertex Sigma Software is searching for a highly skilled Senior Technical Program Manager (TPM) to spearhead the comprehensive development and integration of the Robot Platform Diagnostic Roadmap. This pivotal role will involve orchestrating the planning and execution of diagnostics and health monitoring deliverables across the Robot Platform Electronic Control Units (ECUs).

The ideal candidate will possess extensive expertise in automotive control systems development, diagnostic protocols, and software program management. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Systems Design, Mission Assurance, Fail Operational Response, Firmware Core, Firmware Applications, Fleet Operations, and Vehicle Program Management, to facilitate effective diagnostics, fleet insights, and improved serviceability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the Diagnostic Roadmap, encompassing requirements, execution, validation, and integration to achieve milestone deliverables.
  • Drive the execution of the diagnostic workstream by planning agendas, engaging relevant stakeholders, and identifying action items with robust follow-up.
  • Decompose the Diagnostic Roadmap into detailed deliverables that align with the overarching vehicle program quarterly planning.
  • Exhibit agility in execution by adjusting short-term plans to sustain progress amidst roadblocks or delays.
  • Ensure prompt delivery of diagnostic requirement updates to firmware teams as outlined in the diagnostic roadmap.
  • Secure necessary alignments and approvals for milestone scope changes based on program priorities.
  • Proactively identify cross-functional execution risks, eliminate technical dependencies, and manage escalations within program management forums.
  • Create and maintain a dashboard for Fleet Monitoring of Diagnostics in Service and Engineering Fleet to pinpoint emerging trends, false positives, and prioritization.
  • Lead milestone and gate reviews to present the overall status of the Diagnostics Roadmap to leadership.
  • Interface with upstream and downstream stakeholders to guarantee diagnostic coverage that satisfies system observability, fail-safe operations, and serviceability requirements.
