Meet the Team:

The Release department is integral to our product engineering efforts. Our teams ensure the safe and effective deployment of autonomous vehicles through rigorous testing processes, utilizing advanced tools to gather data and evaluate system performance.

Your Responsibilities:

As a Senior Systems Triage Engineer, you will assess performance data and test results from on-road, simulation, and off-road hardware testing, providing valuable analysis and trend insights to our development teams. In addition to conventional embedded systems triaging, you will leverage techniques to investigate anomalies in training data for machine-learned components.

The ideal candidate will possess expertise in thought leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and spearheading initiatives to enhance system triage and forensic processes, particularly in the realm of machine learning. A solid background in large-scale, safety-critical systems and/or software development processes within complex environments is essential to guide our engineering practices.

  • Collaborate with your team and across departments to create a responsive feedback loop for development teams.
  • Analyze and triage issues at the system level, including sensor input, logic, embedded resource, and training data issues.
  • Conduct triaging across various test environments, including hardware-in-loop (HIL), simulation for behavior and perception, and vehicle-level closed-course and public road work.
  • Track and report metrics for test escapes, ensuring effective communication with stakeholders.
  • Deliver system performance metrics based on data collected from our self-driving trucks.
