In this pivotal role, you will establish common frameworks, digital interface standards, and verification methodologies that the entire engineering team relies on. You will also spearhead the development of a real-time FPGA-based image processing pipeline for on-orbit spacecraft detection, identification, and tracking. You will design solutions that integrate multiple teams, establish robust patterns, and drive program-level success with finesse.

Team Overview The Avionics team oversees the full lifecycle of Terran R’s electrical systems. This includes designing, building, testing, installing, and operating the hardware that connects and controls every major system on the vehicle and on the ground. The team’s structure brings together design, manufacturing, and testing, allowing for rapid iteration and feedback. Engineers work closely with propulsion, guidance and navigation, fluids, and stage engineering teams to ensure smooth integration and operation. Team members have significant ownership of components that will fly on Terran R. What you will do Lead the stand-up of Relativity's avionics systems, focusing on high performance and reliability.
