About the job

Join Us in Redefining Electric Aviation

At Vertical Aerospace, we are at the forefront of revolutionizing electric aviation. Our flagship eVTOL (electric, vertical take-off and landing) aircraft, Valo, is designed to achieve zero emissions and will establish a new benchmark for safety in air travel.

We are committed to moving beyond traditional aerospace practices to innovate and redefine best practices within the industry. As we transition from prototype development to a scaling SME, the upcoming years are pivotal for reaching our ambitious targets, including airliner-level safety certification by 2028, before entering service with our airline and operator partners.

Your Role: Senior Structural Model Owner

As the Senior Structural Model Owner, you will play a crucial role in the development, maintenance, validation, and governance of the Global Finite Element Model (GFEM) for our aircraft. This model is essential for supporting loads, dynamics, aeroelasticity, and certification activities. You will be deeply embedded in the aircraft development program, closely collaborating with the airframe team and flight physics experts to ensure that our structural models are accurate, reliable, and delivered on schedule. This position offers significant autonomy, visibility, and the unique opportunity to influence technical processes as our program evolves.
