About the Role
Our database technology is the core of the Materialize product, translating years of pioneering academic research into the essential component of contemporary data architecture. As a vital member of our Database team, you will collaborate with approximately 10 talented engineers, tackling ambitious systems challenges to deliver this innovative product to our users.
Recent projects the Database team has undertaken include continuous efforts to enhance freshness and responsiveness while ensuring correct and consistent results; optimizing system scalability; developing appropriate primitives for integration with our users’ diverse software development lifecycles; merging memory and disk through seamless swap utilization; streamlining our release process for greater predictability and reliability; crafting clear documentation for both internal and external audiences; boosting observability and debugging tools; and removing obsolete code.
This role is based in our NYC office (near Astor Place), with an expectation of being in the office at least 3 days a week.
