Role Overview Sigma Computing builds a high-performance platform focused on modern data architecture. The engineering team is growing, and the company is looking for experienced backend engineers who enjoy solving complex problems and building features that matter. The mission: make data accessible for every user. What You Will Do Address technical challenges that come with delivering interactive data exploration and analysis on top of data warehouses. Work with technologies such as Rust, Go, GraphQL, Node, and Kubernetes. Build backend distributed services, develop new algorithms, and create APIs to power cloud-based applications. Investigate, debug, and resolve product or system issues by identifying their underlying causes. Design and implement new software features to support a growing user base. Participate in design and code reviews with colleagues and stakeholders to uphold best practices across the technology stack. Location This position is based in San Francisco, CA.

Being part of the OpenAI portfolio means you will work alongside some of the industry's foremost experts in AI and gain exposure to the latest advancements in technology.In the initial six months, you will lay the groundwork for long-term success by enhancing platform observability, reliability, and scalability. As a technical leader, you will oversee the entire lifecycle of significant technical projects within our AI stack, from system design to the deployment of your code.Our engineering positions operate in a hybrid model, requiring presence in our San Francisco office three days a week.What You’ll Do:Design and architect key product features using the latest AI advancements to create a seamless user experience.Proactively identify potential system bottlenecks and re-architect critical components before they impact our clients.Lead strategic product initiatives that enhance iteration speed while maintaining quality and reliability.
