About the Team & Role
The AI Core team within Product and Engineering is at the forefront of developing next-generation intelligent capabilities at Zuora. Our mission is to create robust, scalable, AI-ready systems that facilitate agentic workflows and extend our platform’s capabilities.
We collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and Data Science teams to design and implement production-grade AI systems, encompassing backend services, APIs, and sophisticated model-driven solutions.
As part of our long-term strategy, we are transitioning to a modular, microservices-based architecture that is prepared to support the evolution of AI-driven revenue operations.
This position is based in our Chennai office and requires regular on-site attendance for optimal collaboration.
The Opportunity
- Design and develop flexible, high-performance backend services and user-friendly applications to enable extensive product customization and scalability.
- Create comprehensive product capabilities across frontend and backend systems, emphasizing engineering excellence and product integrity.
- Work collaboratively with Data Science, Product, UX, and Platform teams to implement AI/ML functionalities within product workflows and ensure reliable scaling of intelligent systems.
- Facilitate the transition from experimentation to production by constructing the necessary APIs, services, pipelines, and tools to deploy, monitor, and enhance data science solutions in real-world applications.
- Utilize AI-driven engineering tools to boost development speed, code quality, and team efficiency.
- Write clean, maintainable code while adhering to best practices in software engineering and a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Develop products that are intuitive, elegant, and focused on solving real challenges for modern enterprises.
