What You'll DoLead the design, architecture, and development of native Windows desktop applications using the Windows App SDK, WinUI (or similar UI frameworks), C#, XAML, and C++ when necessary. Establish and uphold best practices for Windows desktop development, focusing on code architecture, performance optimization, memory management, responsive UI design, cross-version compatibility (Windows 10/11+), and overall maintainability. Champion accessibility initiatives: integrate and validate support for accessibility APIs (such as Microsoft UI Automation) to enhance usability for individuals with disabilities, ensuring seamless UI controls, focus management, keyboard navigation, and screen-reader compatibility. Collaborate with product designers, UX researchers, QA, and other stakeholders to define feature planning, UI/UX architecture, and the long-term roadmap for the Windows platform. Oversee the entire feature lifecycle: from conception and design to implementation, testing, release, and maintenance. Ensure quality, reliability, and consistency in all releases. Identify, diagnose, and resolve complex bugs, performance bottlenecks, memory leaks, rendering issues, and compatibility challenges, proposing effective architectural or design solutions.
