The Tenant Protection team focuses on developing and maintaining Auth0’s Attack Protection features. This group builds the first line of defense against widespread, automated threats, such as credential stuffing, denial-of-service attacks, and fraudulent registrations, stopping them before they reach the login interface. The team works closely with Machine Learning and AI specialists to deploy advanced detection models, helping application developers offer secure login experiences without exposing users to the shifting landscape of cyber threats.
Role Overview: Senior Software Engineer, Tenant Protection
This Senior Software Engineer position sits within Okta’s Tenant Protection team in Toronto. The role involves designing, building, and maintaining features that protect customer tenants from automated attacks. Collaboration is key: the team works in an agile environment and partners with other technical groups, including those focused on machine learning and AI.
What You Will Do
- Contribute as a core member of a collaborative, agile engineering team.
- Design and implement features using technologies such as Node.js (JavaScript/TypeScript), AWS, Azure, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, and Kubernetes.
- Break down complex requirements into clear, modular engineering tasks, setting standards for project clarity and progress.
- Lead the estimation process for medium to large initiatives, managing risks and communicating technical trade-offs, timelines, and dependencies to engineering and product leaders.
- Serve as a principal technical collaborator and influencer within the team.
