With a rich heritage of innovation aimed at enhancing lives, our vision is to redefine mobility through human-centered innovation—broadening the scope of what mobility signifies and how it benefits society.

Our initiatives revolve around four core pillars: AD/ADAS, focusing on autonomous driving and advanced driver assistance technologies; Arene, our software development platform for software-defined vehicles; Woven City, a testing ground for mobility solutions; and Cloud & AI, the digital framework that underpins our collaborative efforts. Critical business functions empower these teams to thrive as we pursue one ambitious objective: a future devoid of accidents and improved well-being for everyone.

TEAM
The autonomous driving system typically includes components like Sensing, Perception, Localization, Planning, and Control. The World Understanding team is tasked with the Sensing, Perception, and Localization aspects at Woven by Toyota for autonomous driving advancements. Specifically, the Sensor & Calibration sub-team is dedicated to the intrinsic and extrinsic calibration of autonomous driving sensors, which encompass Camera, LiDAR, Radar, and IMU. Our responsibilities also extend to the quality management of sensor data for post-processing operations and the operational oversight of calibration for our autonomous driving test vehicles.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
The Sensor & Calibration sub-team is on the lookout for a skilled Senior Software Engineer to aid in developing dynamic sensor calibration algorithms for our cutting-edge autonomous driving system. The chosen candidate will be entrusted with the design and implementation of online sensor calibration algorithms, validation of sensor calibration quality, optimization of runtime performance with constrained computational resources, and deployment of these algorithms to millions of Toyota production vehicles. We seek an individual with specialized expertise in sensor calibration for autonomous driving systems, a thorough understanding of hardware such as Camera, LiDAR, Radar, or IMU, and a proven track record in developing algorithms and tools for sensor calibration. Candidates who demonstrate a collaborative spirit, consistently seeking to support colleagues while focusing on delivering production-ready solutions, will be highly regarded.
