Our UI team at Roku is responsible for creating the fundamental frameworks, tools, and high-performance UI components that enhance user experiences across millions of devices. We manage the middleware and UI layers that facilitate seamless navigation, responsive interactions, rich animations, and consistent developer workflows across our platform. Our responsibilities encompass graphics rendering, layout and animation systems, performance optimization, and developer APIs that simplify the creation of reliable and visually appealing applications at scale. Your Role
As a Senior Software Engineer on the UI team, you will design, implement, and optimize the systems that form the backbone of Roku's user experience and developer platform. You will work on performance-critical code paths related to graphics rendering, animation, layout, and UI frameworks, ensuring smooth visuals and immediate responsiveness across various devices. You will help define the core architecture, collaborate across the technology stack with hardware, firmware, and application teams, and witness the direct impact of your work on tens of millions of users.
