About the Role:
As an early-stage engineer at Orb, you will play a pivotal role in constructing the technical underpinnings of a vital product that demands reliability and precision at scale. You will partner closely with our clients to identify pain points in their operational workflows and integrate those insights into our product development strategy. Our clients depend on Orb to simplify the complexities of billing, from data ingestion through subscription management to revenue recognition, delivering a powerful, user-friendly experience.
Your Responsibilities:
- Design and uphold core pricing lifecycle components with a strong emphasis on extensibility and usability.
- Refine the product data model to achieve an optimal balance between complexity and clarity.
- Enhance real-time ingestion and query systems to support large-scale, high-performance applications.
- Collaborate across departments (Product Management, Design, Sales, Customer Success) to influence strategy and deliver exceptional value.
- Engage with and learn from a talented and skilled team.
Your Profile:
- 4+ years of software engineering experience.
- Passionate about tackling a diverse array of technical challenges across the technology stack.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on creating products that demonstrate deep user empathy (across visual UX, API design, and other areas).
- Enthusiastic about directly interacting with customers to inform the Orb product development.
- Located in the San Francisco Bay Area or willing to relocate.
