In this role, you will leverage your technical expertise to devise innovative solutions for complex technical challenges. You will provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers, engage in designing, developing, testing, maintaining, and validating software applications. Your participation will span all phases of product development, including reviewing requirements, design, usability, risk assessments, and testing execution. You will foster collaboration across teams, interfacing with mechanical, electrical, systems, software, and test engineers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement high-quality applications and frameworks for Unix/Linux platforms.
- Develop application software using C++.
- Collaborate with marketing and cross-functional R&D teams in evaluating and defining future product features by balancing technical feasibility, customer value, and business needs.
- Lead the integration of advanced algorithms into production software applications, including AI/ML systems.
- Conduct integration and system-level testing of software and hardware systems.
- Estimate tasks and develop software projects according to project plans.
- Manage multiple projects and shifting priorities effectively.
- Mentor junior resources, taking ownership of end-to-end module delivery.
- Engage with surgeons during surgical cases and maintain an up-to-date understanding of company initiatives across technical realms.
- Translate clinical needs into software and system requirements.
- Collaborate closely with R&D and marketing teams for clinical prototyping and testing in cadaveric surgical lab environments.
- Maintain rigorous version control, unit testing, and documentation for regulatory evaluation.
