The Role
We are seeking a talented software engineer to develop the backend systems that drive our sensor infrastructure, which includes services that ingest, process, and deliver data from radar, RF, and other sensing modalities at scale. You will have the opportunity to design and manage cloud-native systems on Azure, collaborating with systems, hardware, and software engineers within a small, autonomous team.
This role is pivotal in its early stages, allowing you to make significant architectural decisions, deliver production-ready code, and see your contributions directly impact the safety of individuals.
What You’ll Do
- Design and build scalable backend services using Python to process and serve sensor data on Azure.
- Architect cloud infrastructure to support high-throughput, low-latency data pipelines.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines, testing infrastructure, and release processes.
- Collaborate closely with hardware and systems engineering teams to seamlessly integrate software with physical sensor systems.
- Make foundational software architecture decisions as a key team member.
- Mentor and guide engineers as the team expands.
- Travel occasionally to other offices (LA, DC) and customer sites.
