About Our Team:
Our Engineering team is responsible for EASE (Exercise Architect Suite), a versatile tool utilized by military, intelligence, law enforcement, and emergency response organizations to create training exercises efficiently. Our goal is to simplify the development of large-scale exercises while minimizing manual effort. Currently, we are focused on harnessing generative AI capabilities using large language models (LLMs) to produce relevant training content. Our primary technologies include TypeScript, Python, and Vue.
Our team operates fully remotely, with our headquarters located in Ottawa. We welcome you to work from our office if you prefer. This position can be based anywhere in Canada with flexible working hours, although core meetings are scheduled according to the Eastern Time Zone. We prioritize frequent code deployment, collaborative efforts, and a results-driven approach, utilizing a lightweight Scrum (agile) framework to constantly enhance our processes.
Your Profile:
You are an accomplished Senior Software Engineer with 6+ years of experience in constructing complex web applications and backend services, including at least 2 years in a senior role. You possess a passion for mentorship and are adept at leading intricate features while guiding junior developers. While you thrive in backend development, you are also capable of crafting frontend components. Your commitment to lifelong learning is evident in your approach.
