Key Responsibilities:Requirements & Architecture:Collaborate with hardware designers to translate aircraft functions into verifiable hardware requirements for inverters, gate drivers, and motor control systems. Oversee requirements traceability using tools like Polarion or DOORS, guaranteeing comprehensive coverage of safety-critical functions. Create detailed interface control documents (ICDs) between hardware and software, as well as hardware and mechanical components. Process & Certification:Develop and manage AEH certification documentation as mandated by DO-254, including the Plan for Hardware Aspects of Certification and Hardware Design Plan. Engage with Designated Engineering Representatives (DERs) to evaluate compliance data and confirm design assurance levels (DAL A/B). Lead essential design reviews (PDR, CDR, TRR) ensuring all design choices are validated through analysis and documented for certification purposes.

As a Senior Propulsion Electrical Systems Engineer, you will lead the lifecycle of Airborne Electronic Hardware (AEH) systems for our electric propulsion units (EPU). This pivotal role connects intricate power electronics design with aircraft certification, encompassing responsibilities like defining requirements, overseeing DO-254 compliance, and conducting thorough verification and validation (V&V) campaigns for high-voltage inverters and motor control hardware. Your contributions will ensure our electric engines adhere to rigorous safety standards and environmental resilience necessary for Part 33/Part 23 certification.
