About the Senior Project Manager Role

CannonDesign is seeking a Senior Project Manager in Denver, CO. This senior-level position focuses on delivering high-quality project management, leading teams, and integrating a broad range of design services. The role includes mentoring staff, improving project outcomes, managing processes, and ensuring strong financial performance.

Main Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong client partnerships that support future opportunities for CannonDesign.
  • Support positive client relationships throughout each project, communicating clearly about design, construction, and related issues.
  • Establish early collaboration with clients to set shared expectations and clarify how teams will work together.
  • Lead communication with clients and internal teams, including preparing written project documentation and leading important meetings and presentations.
  • Participate in business development efforts with marketing and office leadership to strengthen CannonDesign’s market presence.
  • Understand and uphold contractual commitments, ensuring project teams deliver on scope and services. Manage client communication regarding changes in scope and approvals.
  • Work with client leadership to set project goals and work plans, aiming for quality, budget, schedule, innovation, and profitability targets.
  • Oversee the creation and management of work plans, budgets, and schedules using tools such as MS Project and Deltek Project Planning.
  • Direct the design and documentation process and support successful implementation during construction.
  • Maintain thorough project records, documenting key decisions and following CannonDesign’s standard filing procedures.
  • Develop and manage risk mitigation strategies and ensure compliance throughout the project.
  • Promote a collaborative team environment and encourage participation and new ideas.
