Join Timmons Group as a Senior Project Manager - Landscape Architect in our Richmond, VA office, where you will engage in exciting landscape architecture projects throughout Central Virginia. Our award-winning team provides a comprehensive suite of services for a diverse clientele, including commercial, mixed-use developments, parks, energy and renewables, educational institutions, multi-family housing, and government entities. We pride ourselves on our multidisciplinary approach, delivering stunning landscapes that perform excellently across all scales of design.

As a Senior Project Manager, you will oversee all stages of project execution, work collaboratively with external consultants on high-profile initiatives, and foster professional development among team members. Ideal candidates will be enthusiastic about the built environment, proactive, and thrive in a collaborative studio setting. Key Responsibilities:

  • Project and Task Management (55-65%): Lead internal landscape architecture and civil engineering teams in creating planning, site layout, and landscape design documentation. Manage external consultants and project teams, nurture client relationships, coordinate visioning sessions, ensure quality assurance from concept to documentation, and collaborate closely with project managers to adhere to deadlines, budgets, and project deliverables.
  • Design and Technical Production (5-15%): Collaborate on diverse projects, assist in the development of design documents, prepare construction cost estimates and specifications, communicate with external vendors, and participate in construction administration.
  • Department Operations (10-15%): Work with Directors to foster innovation and establish design standards, engage in strategic planning, and develop organizational systems within the landscape architecture department.
