Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Project Engineer to spearhead the delivery of reliable material handling solutions that surpass customer expectations. The ideal candidate will excel at translating complex technical concepts into accessible terms for all stakeholders. Success in this role hinges on the ability to nurture and sustain strong relationships throughout the project lifecycle with both internal and external clients. Key attributes include a cross-functional technical aptitude, exceptional listening skills, and an entrepreneurial spirit.
- Lead and execute the mechanical engineering scope for assigned material handling projects.
- Mentor and guide team members through project processes and deliverables.
- Ensure compliance of the engineering team with system design, mechanical engineering, drafting standards, installation, and equipment safety protocols.
- Provide regular updates on project portfolio performance metrics including on-time delivery, budget adherence, quality, and risk management.
- Oversee short-term monthly forecasting across assigned projects regardless of resource reporting.
- Develop and implement best practices for project execution, recommending changes and enhancements as needed.
- Act as a resource for team members to escalate product issues when typical channels have stalled.
- Commit to continuous learning in the application of new material handling technologies.
