Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance of airframe, components, assemblies, and systems with design, quality, safety, regulatory, and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with design and manufacturing engineers to facilitate seamless transitions from design to production, providing expert guidance on quality-related matters.
  • Support the deployment of Advanced Product Quality Planning methodologies, including PFMEAs, control plans, and SPC.
  • Lead the development of comprehensive inspection plans.
  • Conduct or assist with First Article Inspections in accordance with SAE AS9102.
  • Participate in Material Review Board activities and dispositions.
  • Identify and champion continuous improvement initiatives within airframe manufacturing, employing root cause analysis and CAPA methodologies.
  • Generate detailed reports on quality performance, findings, and recommendations for corrective actions.
  • Create metrics and KPIs to evaluate the health of manufacturing systems, driving ongoing improvement efforts.
  • Detect potential risks, collaborating with cross-functional teams to mitigate these risks and formulate contingency plans.
  • Facilitate the training of team members and stakeholders on quality standards, practices, and tools.
  • Assist in planning and processes for FAA and company conformity inspections and certification initiatives.
