Your Responsibilities
- Ensure that the airframe, components, assemblies, and systems adhere to all design, quality, safety, regulatory, and industry standards.
- Collaborate closely with design and manufacturing engineers to facilitate seamless transitions from design to production, providing expertise on quality-related matters.
- Assist in the development and implementation of Advanced Product Quality Planning methodologies, including PFMEAs, control plans, and Statistical Process Control (SPC).
- Lead the creation of inspection plans.
- Oversee or contribute to First Article Inspections in accordance with SAE AS9102 standards.
- Support the Material Review Board in evaluating dispositions.
- Initiate and support continuous improvement initiatives for airframe manufacturing processes, utilizing root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
- Compile quality performance reports, highlighting findings and recommendations for improvements.
- Establish metrics and KPIs to evaluate and enhance the health of manufacturing systems, driving continuous improvement efforts.
- Identify potential risks, collaborating with cross-functional teams to mitigate them and devise contingency plans.
- Develop and provide training for team members and stakeholders on quality standards, practices, and tools.
- Assist in planning and processes related to FAA and company inspection and certification conformity.
