Role Overview
Ebury is hiring a (Senior) Product Manager to lead Name & Payment Screening within the Financial Crime Intelligence Product domain. This position is based in Madrid with a hybrid schedule: four days in the office and one day remote each week.
Screening plays a critical role in enabling secure and scalable access to global financial services at Ebury. As the company grows its product range and payment methods, the focus is on making name and payment screening more automated, intelligent, and accurate.
This role reports to the Head of Financial Crime Intelligence Product and works closely with First Line, Compliance, Engineering, and Data teams.
Main Responsibilities
- Own the Name Screening & Payment Screening product area, covering customer onboarding, ongoing monitoring, and transaction screening for clients and counterparties.
- Develop and communicate a clear strategy for screening, ensuring it aligns with the broader Financial Crime Intelligence Product domain and Ebury’s company vision.
- Create and maintain a practical roadmap for screening across various transaction types, including:
- fiat to fiat transactions
- fiat to crypto transactions (with a focus on stablecoins)
- crypto to crypto transactions
- card expenditures
- Enhance and expand list sources for sanctions, politically exposed persons (PEP), and adverse media, ensuring alignment with Ebury’s compliance frameworks and risk appetite.
- Use data and research to identify pain points and improve fuzziness scores in screening logic.
- Apply AI-driven techniques to improve screening accuracy, including risk-based matching, prioritization, and alert mechanisms, with the goal of reducing false positives.
- Lead vendor integrations and refine list/matching logic to support ongoing product and business needs.
Team Collaboration
Work cross-functionally with Compliance, Engineering, Data, and First Line teams to deliver robust screening solutions that meet regulatory and business requirements.
Location and Work Model
This role is based at the Ebury Madrid office. The hybrid model includes four days onsite and one day working from home per week.
