About the job

Ebury is growing its Financial Crime Intelligence Product team in Madrid and is looking for a Senior Product Manager focused on Name and Payment Screening. This hybrid position (four days in-office, one day remote per week) centers on making screening smarter, more automated, and more accurate as Ebury expands its global financial services.

Role overview

This role leads the Name Screening and Payment Screening product area, supporting secure access for clients, counterparties, and transactions. The Senior Product Manager will work closely with First Line, Compliance, Engineering, and Data teams to shape the future of Ebury’s screening capabilities. The position reports directly to the Head of Financial Crime Intelligence Product.

What you will do

  • Oversee screening for customer onboarding, ongoing monitoring, and transactions across clients and counterparties.
  • Define and drive the strategic direction for screening, ensuring alignment with both Financial Crime Intelligence and company-wide goals.
  • Build and maintain a clear, actionable roadmap covering fiat-to-fiat, fiat-to-crypto (primarily stablecoins), crypto-to-crypto, and card transactions.
  • Optimize list sources for sanctions, politically exposed persons (PEPs), and adverse media in line with compliance frameworks and risk appetite.
  • Use data and research to identify pain points and improve fuzziness scores in matching logic.
  • Apply AI technologies to improve screening accuracy, focusing on risk-based matching, prioritization, and alert management.

Collaboration

This role involves frequent collaboration with cross-functional teams, including Compliance and Engineering, to ensure screening solutions meet regulatory and business needs. Vendor integrations and ongoing optimization of matching logic are key areas of responsibility.
