About the job

Archer Aviation is an innovative aerospace company located in San Jose, California, dedicated to developing an all-electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft. Our mission is to enhance sustainable air mobility by designing, manufacturing, and operating an aircraft that transports up to four passengers while minimizing noise and environmental impact.

At Archer, we are driven by ambitious goals and complex challenges. We believe that workplace diversity enhances our intelligence, fosters better insights, and propels us toward collective success. We are committed to creating an equitable and inclusive environment that celebrates our differences and supports all team members.

About The Role:

In this pivotal position, you will help scale the production of our High Voltage Electric Propulsion System (HVPS), the core of our eVTOL aircraft, which encompasses the High Voltage Battery, Electric Motor, and Propeller assemblies. This system represents one of the most technically advanced and automated manufacturing processes within our facility.

We are looking for a Senior Process and Equipment Engineer to ensure that our powertrain manufacturing systems operate at peak efficiency. This role is part of the Manufacturing Design Engineering team, responsible for enhancing the reliability, uptime, and continuous improvement of our cutting-edge powertrain manufacturing equipment in a high-throughput production setting. You will join a team that aligns with your skill set, whether it be HVPS, EPS, or Automation Controls.

You will engage in hands-on, highly technical work and be accountable for resolving intricate manufacturing challenges, often under production pressures. The ideal candidate will possess strong engineering judgment, a structured approach to problem-solving, and a proactive mindset. You will take ownership of a core technical domain while broadening your influence across our automated equipment and manufacturing landscape.

We welcome candidates with a mechanical/process focus, controls/automation expertise, or a robust combination of both.
