Role overview
The Senior Principal Researcher - AI Algorithms will guide the research direction for AI algorithms at the Markham site. This position sets the vision for AI agents, embodied AI, and reasoning-centric large language models. The role combines technical leadership with hands-on research and cross-team collaboration.
What you will do
- Define and drive the research strategy and technical roadmap for AI agents, embodied AI, and reasoning-focused large language models.
- Lead a multidisciplinary research team, encouraging scientific rigor, creativity, and quick iteration.
- Translate research advances into scalable, production-ready AI systems in close partnership with engineering and product teams.
- Advance the field by conducting original research and establishing internal best practices.
- Identify new research directions by collaborating with top academic and industry labs.
- Oversee research investments, infrastructure, and resource allocation to support long-term objectives.
- Serve as a thought leader by publishing research, delivering keynote talks, and contributing to the global AI community.
