Job Mission
As a Senior Principal Engineer in Software Engineering, you will be instrumental in crafting the software that powers ASM’s advanced packaging and hybrid bonding equipment. Your efforts will yield immediate and significant impacts on sophisticated semiconductor systems, integrating robotics, motion control, thermal systems, and process intelligence. In this role, you will spearhead software architecture, define roadmaps, and execute strategies across multiple products, while cultivating strong engineering teams and influencing global software direction.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and take ownership of software development plans and roadmaps for advanced packaging solutions, delivering software across multiple hybrid bonding products concurrently.
- Lead comprehensive software development efforts with a strong emphasis on first-time-right quality and effective release execution.
- Drive architectural decisions for software that bolster long-term business goals, scalability, and product evolution.
- Plan, manage, and execute multiple software baselines, ensuring timely delivery throughout complex development cycles.
- Collaborate closely with quality assurance teams to integrate quality at every stage of the development lifecycle.
- Engage cross-functionally with process engineering, hardware engineering, and system integration teams to deliver seamlessly integrated equipment software.
- Partner with global software engineering leaders to synchronize on software strategies, best practices, and technological direction.
- Assess, sustain, and continuously enhance internal customer satisfaction.
- Build, mentor, and nurture a robust team of software engineers, promoting technical excellence, ownership, and teamwork.
- Advocate for disciplined software baseline management, build management, and version control practices.
