POSITION OVERVIEW
As the Senior Optical Manufacturing Test Engineer, you will be pivotal in validating and ensuring the quality of Lumilens’ photonic components, modules, and systems. This role combines hands-on production testing with hardware test development and reporting, supporting both new product introduction (NPI) and high-volume manufacturing. You will collaborate closely with optical design, hardware, and manufacturing teams to conduct design for manufacturing, calibration, characterization, and troubleshooting tasks for next-generation photonics technologies.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee end-to-end manufacturing testing: Ensure all modifications to test hardware, processes, etc., are under change control and comply with established Quality Management System (QMS) requirements, including equipment selection, tester BOM, estimated costs, test schematic diagrams, test flows, and work instructions.
Manage tester documentation and specifications. Analyze test results to guarantee compliance with performance specifications and quality standards.
Develop, assemble, validate, and release testers for production.
Ensure product test yield, focusing on quality and reliability.
Analyze and implement continuous improvement plans to enhance test yield, cycle time, throughput, and reduce scrap.
