ROLE OVERVIEW
As a Senior Mechanical Engineer reporting to the Director of Mechanical Engineering, you will spearhead the design of innovative, cost-effective, and reliable products that meet delivery schedules. You will also troubleshoot and enhance existing products while collaborating closely with engineering colleagues to devise optimal solutions for complex design, structural, thermal, and battery life challenges. Proficiency in sketching and prototyping new concepts, along with familiarity with engineering best practices, will be essential. You may also guide and oversee the work of junior team members.

Our Mechanical Engineers play a vital role in shaping the architecture and detailed design of all our products, working in tandem with the Hardware team to realize the product vision. This role is pivotal in leading the development of future innovations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop high-quality products that exceed customer expectations.
- Partner with Industrial Design to evaluate product features for manufacturability and recommend efficient processes and equipment.
- Lead the development of mechanical product architectures, assemblies/modules, parts, and accessories.
- Design detailed mechanical components, including complex assemblies and sub-systems.
- Conduct feasibility studies to ensure designs meet mechanical robustness, scheduling, and cost targets.
- Oversee both internal and external prototyping efforts.
- Facilitate design reviews and promote engineering best practices.
